ReferenceLetter

The Blackwells

This is a letter of recommendation for Arnold Meiring as a professional hunter. Arnold was our PH during a hunt we took in South Africa during July of 2007. Arnold was extremely knowledgeable about the area that we hunted and the game that we were pursuing.

He was at all times considerate and personable and put a lot of effort in assuring our trip would be a success. We took two beautiful trophies while hunting with Arnold; a gemsbok and an impala.

We found that he has a great sense of humor that really adds to the enjoyment of the hunt, but he was very serious about us taking quality trophies.

I would recommend hunting with Arnold to anyone. He is really a great PH. My wife and I are looking forward to hunting with him again.

Sincerely,

Scott and Nancy Blackwell – Muir Pennsylvania

The Hubers

How can I describe my hunt with Arnold Meiring at Ribbokrant? I was impressed with the beauty of the Eastern Cape province, the vast rolling plains mixed with mountainous terrain. It offered a variety of hunting conditions that made spot and stalk hunting highly enjoyable.

We saw large herds of blue wildebeest, blesbok, eland, springbok, red hartebeest, so many animals that I actually lost track! Finding game wasn’t a problem at all, making hunting enjoyable. I goofed up many times on stalks on mountain reedbuck, springbok, blue wildebeest, and warthog. Yet, I still took a fine blue wildebeest and a good springbok. My son shot a VERY good mountain reedbuck and even my cameraman got in on the fun, harvesting a springbok himself.

All of us enjoyed the comfortable accommodations, the great South African meals and all the laughing during the evening campfire sessions. Arnold is a very skilled PH, he knew where the game was, and how to get close. It was my Wisconsin whitetail treestand sitting skills that made the game safe all too often!

Would I hunt with Arnold again? HECK YEAH! I was planning a return trip even before I became his partner!
