OutdoorFrontiers Africa’s primary focus is on the numerous species of plains game animals that roam the Free State and East Cape provinces of South Africa. The different ecological regions range from wide open and flat plains where you can see almost forever, to thick thornbush country where visibility is often measured in feet, to a rugged mix of plains and mountainous terrain.
Not all of these various animals naturally occur in all regions, so your trophy selection will often determine the region hunted and some travel might be required.

Blesbok – (Common & White) -The Blesbok, or Blesbuck, (Damaliscus dorcas phillpsi) is related to the Bontebok (Damaliscus dorcas dorcas) and it is purplish antelope with a distinctive white face and forehead. More Blesbok1 Blesbok2 Common – $450

Bontebok – The Bontebok is an antelope found in South Africa and Lesotho. The Bontebok has two subspecies; the Bontebok (Damaliscus pygargus pygargus), occurring naturally in the Fynbos and Renosterveld areas of the Western Cape(and which is an endangered species), and the Blesbok (Damaliscus pygargus phillipsi) occurring in the highveld. Bushbuck – The Bushbuck (Tragelaphus scriptus) is an antelope that is found in forest and woodland throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. It is also called the “bush antelope.” More Bushbuck $700
Bushpig – The Bushpig (Potamochoerus larvatus) is a very hairy member of the pig family that lives in forest thickets, riverine vegetation and reedbeds close to water in Africa. More Bushpig $800

Duiker (Common & Blue) – The Common Duiker, Sylvicapra grimmia, also known as the Gray or Bush Duiker, is a small antelope with small horns found in west, central, east, and southern Africa – essentially everywhere in Africa south of the Sahara, excluding the horn of Africa and the rainforests of the central and western parts of the continent.
