I find it hard to believe that there's a lake in Tennessee that is easy to navigate!  LOL, I've done more damage to boats fishing tournaments in Tennessee than any other state I've fished.  But I have heard many good things about Watts Bar and would love to fish the lake some time.  Who knows?  Maybe I'll make it over there…

I held a rally on that lake in 2000. At that time there was no limit at all. I awarded a plaque for the smallest fish brought in over a 2 day span. A .38# LMB took those honors. Went back approx. 3 years later and encounted the 18″ minimum.. YIKES! Managed to catch one smallmouth that would keep. But still a great lake. Good fishing and easy to navigate.

Be a fair drive for us for sure,great lake,well known for smallmouth.

Keep in mind special regs but barring that 18 in is the legal size limit here(smallmouth) in Tenn,other than Ky lake,which is exempt at the old 15 in length.

Barkley is not exempt for those desiring to go up and over.

Many of our lakes have an overabundance of say 1/2 short fish,the larger length limit,special regs making them bigger and bigger.

And thats a great lake.
