I seem to recall one BASS t,where the pros weighed in several different subspecies.
This was years ago,but spots, and shoal both made it to the scales, cant recall if anyone weighed in a Guadalupe.

I was wondering about that too. I didn't think that Guadalupe Bass got all that big, so I cannot imagine one being weighed in. Although I'm sure that there are some that get to be big enough to cull out a largemouth.

Even in Texas the Guadalupe bass are limited to select river systems and the associated lakes. Largest one on record is 3.5#'s with normal being in the 1# range. I've never seen one weighed in but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I'd suspect it'd be pretty rare if ever one was brought to the scales. We had shoal bass in Georgia and I fished there 15 years without ever seeing one brought to the scales and never caught one personally. From what I've read the Shoal and Guadalupe bass prefer much of the same habitat.

Nice diversity one has down in texas,Armistad,Choke with 14 ft gators, bighorn sheep, red tailed hawks, cactus and the mexican border all nearby.
Occasionally we here catch one of our smaller basses and weigh it in (spotted bass)
Do Guadalupe bass ever make it to the scales?
