16 lbs. is still kind of light in the weight department!  You probably did the right thing sitting it out, and I might have done the same thing, but it's got to be difficult to not fish a tournament on purpose!

I would give the tournament director the benefit of the doubt for another tournament, but if the paperwork wasn't sent in and results weren't posted by then, I'd be looking at an official inquiry.

Sunday seemed to be a bit better… 16+ to win and BB was 7+. Still only had 16 anglers. So still glad I didn't go. My low tournament for that district is a 193. Driving 4+ hours to fish a tournament where I can, at best, increase my point total by 3 points isn't something I really want to do.

Next month district 51 is back on Falcon for two one days and if I can I'll make those. Then the two day championship is on Amistad in June. Never been to Amistad so I'll probably go down 3-4 days early – if I can. But for sure I'll be fishing the championship.

Seems we have a problem with the director in our district – #119. No results have been posted on the National board for our district since last year. We've had 3 tournaments since the first of the year. Lake Conroe in Feb. and 2 one days on Coletto Creek in March. Some of us are kinna thinking the tournament fees got ummmm… appropriated for other uses. I'm fishing 119 next weekend back on Coletto Creek and plan to bring up the subject of no results in public. One of the guys asked the director about it a week or so ago and was told he'd sent it in about a week prior to that. Soooo they, ABA, should'a had it for about 3 weeks now. They're slow but… they ain't that slow!

That's a pretty short and sweet tournament report!

And from the sounds of things, you didn't miss anything at all!

I didn't go! End of report! LOL….

I really didn't go as I had work that had to be done. But I did get a report for the first day tournament.

Thursday the lake received 10″ of rain. Friday it rained most of the day with the lake rising right at 4' by Friday morning.

Friday: Rained again most of the day. However if you were on the lake throwing anything with a hook attached to it you were catching fish. I did not get a report on the size of the fish being caught.

Today: It was raining when anglers arrived at the ramp to launch. It rained all day long. 17 anglers competed. Mind you this is on a lake where 30# sacks are fairly common and 13# fish don't get big fish honors. Todays winning sack tipped the scales at 8.50*s. Nope… not a type-o… eight and one-half pound won on Choke Canyon today. I don't know what took second place but it was only two fish and there weren't any monsters weighed in. I don't know what big fish was today but will try to find that out tomorrow.

Forecast for tomorrow: RAIN

All I know is if I had to miss a tournament – this was the one to miss!
