Yeah on a good fishery its unbelievable,here on ky lake last year two teams had 30 lbs and over and didnt win it as it took 31 something,24 lbs which would normally win it didnt even cut a check.Over 20 limits over 24lbs.

Considering its more southerly quite understandable as it has a longer growing season.

Count your blessings.

Here's a quote from the Bass Champs tournament web site:


Skeeter Bass Champs South Region anglers had an explosive event on Lake Falcon February 20, 2010. A record setting field of 233 teams raised the bar to all new heights. Four sacks over 40 pounds were brought in, twenty-one sacks over 30 pounds, and it took over 28 pounds to earn a check in 31 places paid!


That pretty much says it all….


I can't even fathom bringing 40 pounds to the scales – and losing a tournament.


But…

I repeat - IT TOOK OVER 28#s to get the last check in 31st place!

There were 21 sacks over 30#s.

Big Bass was "only" 11.70
