Actually triton does within its groups offer that money anyone who wins in a triton in any aba event and many bass events get about double cash.
Stratos is iffy as was just purchased,as was in trouble but because of an affiliation,it is however a decent boat.
Bass cat like someone else said its got a few things i dont like(trip hadards being one of them).
Lcb never owned one or rode in one, biggest drawback for them is same reason not that many out there,it needs some exposure. If youve never seen one or ridden in one ,be hard to take that jump for 5 k more than another boat, just my own opinion.
My own thoughts again why havnt I taken a ride in one,its because there arnt that many around ,none here on ky lake, think closest one is in missouri.
Im sure its what they say it is,when I see them as common place I might even consider one.
The boat is for you,you alone so figgure out what features you must have and then shorten the list, honestly the tr20 or 21 one could win here at the nationals would be a good T boat.
They run good in rough water ,fairly fast plenty fast enough for a T fisherman, dependable, and cheaper than a gamble to operate.

Given the options you've laid out, you don't really have a lot of choices.

Legend makes a danged fine boat; certainly not the fastest hull out there, but definitely one that is well constructed.  I like the layout too of the boat.  I had a 2001 Cobra Coosa 216 that is the same hull as Legend's LE-21 and let me tell you, it ran really nice with 14″ of setback  and a Merc 250XB motor.  I got into the low 80's with that boat, fully loaded.

Basscat also makes a fine hull, but there are some things they do with their interior that I just don't understand, i.e. the trip hazards.  But they do know how to build a boat that lasts…

As for the LCB, that's a boat you either love or hate.  I loved the one I owned.  I loved the amount of storage.  I thought my Cobra had a ton, however I took everything out of my Cobra, put it into the cat and STILL had two large compartments fully free of anything!  I could carry twelve 9 foot rods if I wanted to in EACH rod compartment, and I still had room to put all my fishing tackle under the deck, safely stowed away.

With an 8 1/2 foot beam carried almost all the way to the bow, and the twin sponsons of the cat hull, it was incredibly stable.  I loved the fact that I could run in skinny water, but where it really shined was when the water was rough.  I can't tell you how it ran, all I can say is that you really need to experience it for yourself.

I had a 36 volt MinnKota trolling motor (101 lb. thrust if I remember correctly) and I do not remember any time that I had a problem controlling the boat, regardless of the wind.  Yes, the boat does have more freeboard, but I think with the contours of the boat, that the wind more or less flowed over/around the boat and didn't have as much effect on the boat that it can with other designs.

Those would be the three that I'd look at if I were you.

In looking at the different mfgs. with an eye towards the tournament contengency money…. It appears that neither Trition nor Skeeter offers any money not associated with major tournaments not sponsored by them. Where BassCat, Stratos and others do not provide major sponsorship to any particular event(s) they do offer contengency cash for winning most any decent size tournament.

I was starting to develop a leaning towards Stratos but…. their top-of-the-line boat the 201 only has 7' 6″ rod lockers. Now I don't know if that means you absolutely can not stow an 8' rod or not but I do know I have one 8'er and plans to add more.

Can't afford the LCB… Plus I still haven't wrapped my arms around the layout. After battling the Intimidator in the wind while on the trolling motor I see all the freeboard on the LCB and can not help but think it would be a bear to control in the wind – And it is ALWAYS windy here in Texas!

That doesn't really leave many options. Trition's lack of contengency cash outside their sponsored events took them out of contention. Skeeter I've never really cared for(although I luv their storage/layout) Stratos… 7'6″ rod lockers and questionable as to if they'll be around in 2-3 years took them out. Leaves BassCat I suppose. Anybody got any other recommendations? Legend? Mmmmm…. that be tough to pull the trigger on. Ranger? I don't think so…. Stroker? NOPE! Gambler? Hell Nope! Allison???? Outta my range price wise for new – might consider used but the folks that have them are right proud of them as well. LM… I just can't get interested in buying a boat that's 20 years old. Maybe fine but… too much chance that something major will fail, no place to install modern large screen electronics, trailer needing major overhaul….. Bullet??? Nawwww… Layout/storage stinks on'em. No better ride than a Gambler – IMHO.

BassCat…. while a fine boat there are some "issues" with their design. Both pedestal bases extend above the deck. Which I've never figured out "why". Additionally the rigging compartment uses strap hinges, which is fine, but…. the hinge part is mounted on the deck such that they extend above the deck, much like the pedestal bases. A trip hazzard for sure.

So what's left?
