In all fairness to Steve, while I found that one hole we have become so fond of,I didnt have a clue if it was any good, and he showed me how to fish it and with what.

So while it can viewed at a distance with say a car, only firsthand knowledge of what to use does it really produce. So in being a community hole and one someone else showed me how and what to use.I cant exactly claim it as my own.

I am fortunate to have a lake as good as Ky lake on my doorstep and in having a good friend nearby to share it with.

Hopefully all those who come here will also have something to share when they go back home.

Will be held on Ky lake,at Paris Landing

Resulting in many requests about the fishing and spots to be fished.

A great deal of fishing spots can be had on navionics cd,they do produce.

Im sure Steve and even I will provide some holes or fishing spots.Since im fishing it yes will withold some such as hole 168.Its something I found this year that Steve and I both fished,as a test and then fished a tournament held nearby,we placed fifth overall with 16.45,even with a 1 pd penalty.

As in an earlier post we seldom tell all,but if you get or draw a boater that tells you the structure of say a hump ,or ledge youve drawn a good one. Most point the boat at the sweet spot, and all of those good ones have one,it can be a bend or a gemtle slope of that hump like a ramp going to deep water.

The best one can look for in whatever it is its proxcimity to deep water is important,be it a hump, flat ,or point.

I myself seldom fish deep even if in deep water, topwater works in 22 ft of water, most of the fish on say a 4 ft deep flat arnt much deeper over the drop even into 45 ft of water, yes theres a hump 4 ft deep that falls of to 45 ft here, and generally those over the hump on the drop off suspend about 5 to 6ft deep.

This whole lake is a learning curve to say the least.

Shallow, current, sparcely marked channel, rough water with the waves packed closely together.

One can easily tear up ones boat here,so use caution, use maps,a good gps showing depth contour is almost a requirement. And most important all maps including gps base their info on summer pool which is 4 to 5 ft higher than what the water will be when the ABA nationals will be held, many of those tracks shown on a gps showing sugested routes on back channels will be unusable or should be,key is look for standing birds. Also I might add that the navionics map has a few flaws showing an island where it isnt,so its not for total reliable navigation, use your head as well.If unsure dont go running down a back channel at 60 mph, several here seem safe being 20 ft deep behind an island, they are however creek channels and are about 25 ft wide as well.

And have a few stumps sprikled on the edges,if this seems semi dangerous it is.Not knowing what lies ahead come off plane.

As far as info is concerned keep reading the fishing reports on Ky lake, that im sure will be posted here, and I bet a request can be had on some holes -within reason-as several hundred souls will descend upon Patris landing.Hopefully with some input, care of the user of same all will return home with their eq intact.

As far as the  fishing is concerned it can be fickle,it is also the best fishery Ive ever fished.
