Next tournament for me is on Choke Canyon next weekend. To this point I haven't heard of any big wave to spawn but I'm hoping they're done. My style and preferences of fishing work well with pre and post spawn more so than the actual spawn. I've only fished Choke Canyon 1 time and that was for 3 days last November. I found some decent places up lake but this time we're launching from the dam. A friend gave me some GPS numbers for deep water fish but I'm not sure they'll be setting up house in deep water yet. But rest assured I'll be checkin' those places out on Friday.
The San Antonio district, #51, is hosting this/these tournaments. It's two one day's again this time. This is the district I'm leading in the AOY race. As it stands now I've got 786. In second place is a 51 angler with 784.
My four best tournaments right now are 200, 199, 198 and 189 in that division. If I can get lucky enough to win one with a full field and replace the 189 with a 200 – then AOY for district 51 will for sure be decided at the 2day in June.
Nationally, once all the latestest tournaments are posted, I have 792 which is good for 8th place as things stand now. A 200 point win next weekend would put me at 797 both nationally and in District 51.
After this weekend district 51 has 4 more one day's 2 on Choke Canyon and 2 on Falcon before the 2 day championship in June on Amistad.
