Well, when you win the boat, you need to immediately pull the 200 off and trade it for a 250, spending the extra cash to get the boat powered properly, ok?  And if that doesn't work for you, I'll give you $500 cash money for the rig…  :)

Welp… just read the lastest release from ABA concerning the AOY FR… and the prize associated with it. According to the most current press release the prize boat for the AOY is a Tr21 XS w/200hp merc. That's kinna disappointing in that the Tr21 XS is a 21' 7″ boat with a dry hull weight of 2002#s. That's a lot of boat and a lot of weight for a 200 – IMHO! But it is what it is and if I win it I won't tell'em I don't want it! LOLOLOL!

Yup and about time,48 auint exactly 40s just barely,do carry a towel or have a wet butt for awhile, while it doesnt rain much here the dew is like a rain elsewhere.

As for temps been 95 Plus since june with lows of high 60 and then only recently that low, this weekend its sting to drop the temps and from whats broadcasr figgure it to stay down and start its wintere downslide, with those fronts that have been going over to evanville fipping down here.

After about 1 week of the cooler stuff they ought to be biting by the time you get here.

Barkley water station had the lake at 78,bs was 83-85 down here still, they hold it higher as it gets later so it looks better at 58 in dec, when by then its actually 48 -52

I call tourista disinformation, but it is at the dam area, and is a few deg different just not that much.

Its a one year old boat soon to be a two year old boat, same boat at jan boat sales or shows would be 36 k.

Most likly aquired a year ago and drug around all over the aba circuit and set up near the weigh in as an advertisment for Triton.Yes most likly an opti pop, years ago the second boat had  less hp,like a 175 or 150.The tr21 is a good rough water ride, way around the taxes though would be to sell it ,right then and there for say 32 k taking an 18 k loss. There are those attending with the hopes of buying such a boat.

Then TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN

Will be tuff however it may all change and quickly, normally low to mid 70s by now and still 95,but come sat guess what 70s highs and 50 lows at least into next week, suspect the heat wave is breaking or will be gone by the time your time comes now how quick they react dunno, but figgure it will trigger it or the bitre somewhat ,lil rain would also help,as lake is below pool where it normally would be meaning ahead of drawdown.

Noticed the other evening they are changing somewhat their forage from 1 1/2-2 in fathead minnows to 3 in shad.

Time to get your DBBB out and sharpen the hooks

That's the problem with any of these contest prizes, you're at the mercy of the organization to put a value on the prize!

I'm sure you're smart enough to realize the difference between MSRP and actual street value, so this is just another way to hype the prize.

Look at the bright side, at least it's a Triton, and they put a 225 on it.  It could be a 21 foot Nitro with a 200 on….  Surprised

Yezz… I'z smurt'nuff ta' figgers that'un out…

And at least they "said" they were gonna put a 225 on it… and they said optimax… but didn't state year or if new or not…. could be a '99 optiPoP.

And… the Tr21 is actually 21'7″…. Would probably handle some of these Texas lakes just a tad better'n a Gambler!

Going over the brochure for the AFT Nationals and AOY final round and ran across the first place prize. If the brochure is correct they are awarding a Tr21/X3 w/225 OptiMax to the winner of the Nationals. For the AOY it just says "…valued at 50,000.00″, which is the same value as the Nationals. But… after checking on the Triton web site… 2009 was the last year the X3 series was produced. So if all of this is correct does that mean they're gonna award a 2 year old boat to the winner of the Nationals and AOY AND say it has a value of 50k? Earlier this year I could'a bought one tricked out for 39k.
