Yeah, it was frustrating to say the least.  However, our pattern did produce fish, which is something that not every tourney contestant could say!

It didn't help that we had three other boats right in the same darned area either!  Think of what we might have done if that one guy wasn't there to catch that 6.5 pounder and about 15 more pounds of other fish!  And we don't know what the other two boats caught, all we know is that they had keepers too…  Yell

We did screw up by NOT fishing subsurface lures in the early AM, but I figured that the fish would bite best on topwater early and that bite would decrease as the day wore on, NOT the opposite!

Win some lose some.

Just hard to figgure how one can catch 50 bass and no keepers yet many lacking like 1/32 in.

Also the change in forage from fry to shiners to butterbean and now large threadfin shad.

A strike king king shad would have been at home with the baits in order, with a bzz1 at the small end.

I did enjoy the outing thankyou

Regestration starts at 4.15 am,payout is 1250 1st place with 50 boats

Im ready 4 rods,right attitude,nitro,etc.

Team transplant has tossed the hat in the ring again.

Ill be your house 3.30am

Dont promise to be bright eyed and bushytailed, but will have a nice time regardless of end result.

Wont even complain if i have a net in my hand more than a rod,but doubt if that ill be a real problem, yet am optimistic, they are hitting just not taking well, filling up on legs.

Lake is almost at summer pool, raised due to rain while it didnt rain much here did elsewhere and the tn river meanders all about the state, net end result eventually comes here.

Running 45,000 cfm while they could suck the bottom out, expect it next weekend when that T takes place to be a bout 1 ft above norm for this time of year  at around 357.

Have seen them chasing shad, most hitting just under the water, but showing themselves.

Tues or wed would be a good time to hit it again.

Small ponds warm and cool quicker, and reports indicate action on the main early and late on gravel points, such as the condo point,or for that matter the coast guard cove one.

Dynamite???  I don't know what's going on out on the lake, because the bass are hitting topwater on farmponds.  Just playing a hunch, I went to a farmpond and caught bass on a Secret Weapon BuzzrBait, a Zoom Horny Toad, a Spro Popping Frog as well as on Zoom SuperFlukes and Secret Weapon spinnerbaits…Yell

Ky lake has dropped in temp to 76F main, birdsong should be 74F as always 2 deg cooler.14,000 cfm fri,45,000 yesterday,40,000 today although we did not get rain the rest of tn east of us did and it comes here eventually.

What im wondering is what it will take to get a topwater bite, main lake gravel points are active with schoolers.

Ok, then let me see how my schedule plays out this week.  I have to help some friends with some things, but we should be able to get out one morning at least.

I think it's either your computer or your ISP that's causing the site to load slow, because it's loading just fine for me.

BUT, sure, we can give it one more shot!  When do you want to go?

OF very slow loading for me today, but may be my internet, even though other sites seem to be working ok.

We need to try it one more time before discounting the thought of fishing it,I did see one pod cruise by the edge of the pads got one good toss at them and nothing. In the past I believe 3 or even 4 pods were curising it,may still be in the back where boats arnt dunno, have my doubts due to loss of main grass suspect there are just less of them.

That is some of the best looking unproductive water I've ever fished!  I keep going back thinking we're going to experience the same success  that we had before, but it just doesn't seem to be happening this year!

Oh well, we did have fun and we caught some fish.

Whenever you want to go.  As you know, I'm fairly flexible as to time and place, where you're a little more tied down with your home situation….
