It all depends Andy on what I'm fishing for.

If I'm bass/walleye fishing, I tie directly using a loop knot.  If I'm pike/muskie fishing, then I might or might not use a snap, it all depends on the lure I'm using.

But I prefer to just tie directly to most lures as I do feel that snaps can have an adverse affect on a lure's action.

But a lot of guys use them and love how they work, but that's just not for me.

Not me ,I think it does hamper the lure action somewhat.

I tie a loop knot for a crankbait-sort of a hangmans noose.

Does anyone use snaps to attached their lure (Cranks, Jerks,Swim, Etc) If so what are your opinions on using them? Do they change the affect the way the lure performs or does it help the lure perform better?

Thanks,

Andy
