These as well came in yesterday, must admit Frankenbuzz no longer applies.

Had originally placed a rivet in between the blades, replaced now with just a larger bead.So guess Steves name applies now

I present the Double Barrel Bass Buster

Immagine a day when they wont quite take a buzzbait, yet will something just under.

Then immagine slowing the bait down, even slow rolling it with the blade flash just in sight.

Imagine the looks on your boat pards face.give him one he wont toss it for long even when you are still boating or catching fish on it.

They just dont believe what they  are actually seeing,is the only eplanation I know or can think of.

Yes several of those baits may be off a tad on that bend easy to correct, willowleaf should extend just to short of the hook point and allow drop action as well as any other that willow leaf might do all without hanging up.

If you think im pulling your leg ask Steve. He calls it my unorthadox retrieve.

Some are 3/8,some are 1/2 ,making them different lengths, protoypes to be tested, with slight variences as well.

None of these have ever been fished as yet

.051 wire, should stand up fair to boat flipping, the origional white one did bend and one had to rebend every so often

The angle is correct,it has it built in,as works that way,if closer t the bait the willow will hit the hook or worse hangup,so was built with a sort of Stan Sloan drop bait angle.

Like any bait one gets one has to bend it or alter it after recieving a tad or fine tune to their own likes

Buy a buzzbait off the shelf so to speak bet you do tweak them a tad, most will bend the arm a hare or straighten the blade etc.

For a conventional buzzbait one of the best alterations one can do is to merely crimp the rivet down, makes more noise not turning with the blade

But buying a new one they arnt done that way looks used, and some mfg or fishermen dont know that.

Note angle of origional

Which is a 3/8,larger angle with larger hook and willow leaf take a tad more space to work .

Best explanation I can give, until you come here and toss one.

This is a subsurface bait designed to work under water,it does work on top as well, but designed for under.

LM… in the pictures posted I noticed a couple of things…

Coming up from the line tie towards the blade it appears from the photos that on some of them the virtical rise changes some taller/shorter than others. Also, on that vertical rise some angle back some are more vertical before making the bend to the blade. Do you have a reason for the difference in heights? Are the different angles simply a matter of having been fished and hammered by the fish or do you impart that angle at build time? Or does any of it matter and in this case "close" counts?
