Forum | Been doing some squirrel hunting lately.

With a friend from church, J.D. Hart…  J.D. and his friend Bill are really into squirrel dogs, so it's been a lot of fun watching the dogs hunt.

They run through the woods and when they hit on the scent of a squirrel, they'll follow it and put the squirrel up a tree.  Then the shooters go to the dog barking at the bottom of the tree, find the squirrel and shoot it!  Unfortunately that works only part of the time because in these woods, they can run from tree to tree and get into a den tree where they're safe from .22 and shotgun fire.

We went last week and again yesterday.  Last week we got ten, yesterday five.  So tonight I'm cooking squirrel!
