Forum | The Loss of a Friend...

We all know that Africa can be a deadly place.  There's dangerous animals, there's disease, there's war, all things that can and do kill people every day.

But few people think of the roads in Africa and think that's the way it will all end.

I just received an e-mail from a South African acquaintance that told me the sad news.  Arnold Meiring, my South African partner in OutdoorFrontiers Africa, along with his wife and two young boys were killed in a terrible car accident!

Arnold had a zest for life and a love of hunting that was unparallelled.

I was looking forward to having this World Cup Soccer stuff over with so he and I could once again hunt the plains of Africa together.

He loved his wife and sons, and will be greatly missed….
