Ok, it's December 8, 2010. Christmas is rapidly approaching and now's the time to discuss what to get the outdoorsman for Christmas. I'm sure there's lot's of ideas for gifts for the outdoorsman. I'll start with a few.
Fishing lures, a guy can never have enough lures. Those can range from simple bags of soft plastics to high end custom painted crankbaits.
Knives, here's something else that an outdoorsman always needs, whether it's a simple pocket knife or a custom made belt knife. And the prices on knives are still reasonable. You can spend anywhere between $10 and $1,000.
Binoculars are a great gift idea. Leupold makes an entry level line called the Wind River line. I have a compact pair and they're great. Alpen Optics also makes a great lineup and are popular with sportsmen and wildlife watchers too.
Rods and reels. it seems that more people are moving toward high end rods and reels. But prices are great on certain brands and lines. Shopping around can get you a great price, especially if you shop online.
Heavy socks! I'm getting to the age where my feet get cold easily. There's nothing better than a nice thick pair of socks!
Here's a start on the list, what else can you add?
