Those that slink live near the ky border.
Those that walk walk softly as live in tn
And your right for the most part they lack the general gait,those here at my house walk more than hop,yet do hop some-hopalong they arnt
maybe the tn walking horse rubbed off dunno,they are a fine breed of horse thats for sure,like riding in a rocking chair

Well Duh! THAT'S why I called them TENNESSEE Walking Squirrels…. 
I've never seen squirrels walk like these. They almost slink along, but they're definitely walking and not hopping…

Even the squirrels in my neighborhood!
Every where I've ever visited or lived, squirrels always covered ground in short hops. Not here!!!
It must be too hot because all the squirrels kind of amble along, belly almost on the ground, with the stupidest looking waddle I've ever seen.
Janet and I call them "Tennessee Walking Squirrels"….
