It hadn't even attempted to rain here until yesterday afternoon.  And then that's about all it did until last night, and then the skies opened up!  We got about an inch of rain in no time at all, which was greatly needed.

One really cool thing happened just at twilight, near the end of the storm.  I was sitting in the Man Cave, watching TV and doing some stuff on the internet.  All of a sudden, there was a HUGE BOOM and a brilliant flash just outside the Cave door.  During the lightning strike, the cover was blown off the bathroom light fixture!

But I never lost internet or cable television…

It sounds to me like you need some "lead" applied to those garden critters…

Well for three days and nights been raining around me basically, did rain here just enough to wet the ground, yet next day couldnt tell it.
Yesterday it drizzled that tn drizzle that occurs nowhere else that I know of drive with wipers, road stays dry?Left the house upon hitting rt 79 2 miles from the house was pouring, drove to the dollar store went in and shopped came out still pouring ,drove back 1 mile on 79 and as soon as I turned onto my road sprinkling.
Grass however grows like crazy in that, pepper plants wilt along with pumpkin, corn is stunted, cucumbers love it-have minor surplus getting a doz a day off three plants, have 9 more plants as yet to fruit lol.
Got my first tomatoe july 1st,others are taking their time, white half runners have been eaten to the ground also have a surplus of deer, rabbits, and an invading horde of ardvarks all liking watermelon and cantalope.
Got my first zukkini today and yes raining hopefully a bit more than last.
So if you see a cloud of dust in the distance dont worry just me rolling a watermelon in to the house.
