Leave it to the texican banditos to hog all the rain, but we went thru all that in april, first the lake rising then the cg closing the lake, although not for long ,difference is theres a tird party here that also had a hand tva which kept ky lake above summer pool until this wek since then.
As I print this a mild summer rainstorm has crept in quite welcome,as plantas are wilting

Yeah but unknown when ill get my ride back, told a date it comes no go,like another fairy tale Ive heard to many changing stories.
Currently below a hair of summer pool.lil current but lake has dropped in temp its 85 main lake, fish are hitting on purple worms about 14 -20 ft readilly, but that bite is waning and getting less weight as the current is waning.
Schoolers still present in general locations they are normally found in,those will take flukes and unweighted worms readily, course you know most of this.
Meanwhile drowning deaths just keep mounting 5 in old hickory in the last weeek, none of course wearing life jackets and one a jet skier even. Now you know why when on the deep part I wear mine even when fishing as this lake can toss one out.

Well, we'll have to get out on the water one of these days now, won't we?
After all, we have to check the weed growth, don't we?

Finally 358.99,lol just now TVA shure took its time getting the lake back to normal, many years the first week of july signals a drop starting back to winter pool.
This year since the april flood hasnt been down to pool until now, suspect tva likes to try to kill grass,as prior to the flood had even started up in the ky section, near the dam.
Added to this all along its been flat smooth water many days as no wind, unusual for here.
But drowning deaths are the norm,5 in old hickory in the last week,1 in the tn river,1 a jertskier, arnt they supposed to wear a lifevest?Sign at old hickory says 200 drownings since the dam was built not one was wearing a lifejacket.
I wear mine when on the main lake deep water even when on the troller,as most of the time its capable of pitching or launching one out.
Bottom line as they drop the lake even though theres less of it grass will appear briefly at each drop until lake waves or wind waves take a toll on it.
Nyad, coontail, pondweed, milfoil, hydrilla, andmany other types are present, lets just hope they have a norm schedule now for generation and dropping the lake.
