Well my third year here, after a front one can go deep on ledges or go shallow and find a few fish,we didnt go shallow enough, and im not astute at the ledge fishing, dont have a clue as to which ones produce 30+sacks.

At least i had a camera,to record it,bigger fish there.

Cottonmouths huh?  I ain't skeered of no snakes, lemme at the bass!  That's what I'm talking about, big bucketmouth largemouths….

I'm thinkin that Wednesday might be a good day to go check out 178/179.  Wanna go?

Compared to 178  its small just over 1 acre, but under two,yes on a troller and at summer pool, its size limits it somewhat to two boats and their is only enough keepers for one, normally.

May not be true as spawn starts, but its close by and often overlooked, entrance is almost hidden.

It does contain cottonmouths, just not active as yet, suspect 178 does have them as well,as they like the 12 and 14 in worms, must think they are a small snake.

It does make one wonder about all those wading duck hunters ,but figgure first cool spell drives them in.

Wouldnt Walley have a great time down there,be less waders thats for sure.

Can we get to that area by boat?  If so, we need to go check it out more in depth….

Yes agree, what was interesting was milfoil was almost to the top among some of it,as got a frog hung barely below a pad and came back with 4 in of it on it.

Apparently all it takes is a shallow bay like 2 ft all over, and its up early.

That's great to see some vegetation coming up in KY Lake.  It is something that I'm used to fishing, but haven't found a whole lot of in this lake yet.  While Holes 178/179 will be better a little later in the year, I think at least a scouting trip is in order, don't you?

Local discussion involving ,grass and other veggies, while my neighbors pond has none topped it is in the shade ,what i found today isnt and in ky lake.

Heres the proof.

And yes tossed a horney toad in no takers but when it hung up once it came back with 4 in of milfoil attached as well.

There was a 4 lber working it,along with one about 2 1/2,just my day to take pics ,cold windy rain.Besides it was supposed to be a scouting photo safari.

And no this is not hole 178-179.
