From nov to may it rains, rains and rains, what lil is put in is taken back out by the next rain,it all creates currrent, thus a ledge bite. From july to nov its a tedious tough bite depending upon current outflow and local bass population moving into any given ledge or area.

Any shallow bite in aug, sept, oct normally has it beat, any shallow bite on veggies it aint even close.again normally.

This has been a very abnormal year, but at the time your here 2 ft of water normally produces more than 12 or 26,bandit 100 rootbeer not dd 22 strike king sexy shad.

Other than that just being in range to toss the kitchen sink meaning almost anything when they are in the breaks or jumps (schoolers surface action),while they can and do do it in deep water most is where they can run a pod of baitfish up on a wall, like a long shallow island point about 1 ft deep.

And you will see them with their backs out of the water, its that shallow, use the same feature that lil point thats a 1 ft higher than the rest to hide the boat and you, tossing to the other side.

If you cross over they stop shortly and are doing it where you were at so do the reverse keeping that ridge inbetween you .Honestly believe it along with frothy water hide you and your boat somewhat.

I pulled up three suppliers of satellite images: Bing, yahoo, and google to compare time of year images were captured. With google I started off viewing around the 68 bridge area. It is obvious the images were captured during the winter – not a leaf on the trees anywhere. I'm guessing in the Dec-Feb time frame. This is good – sorta, cause I thought it'd give me an idea of the water level during the drawdown. But… It appears these images came shortly after a right heavy rain fall occured because the main lake/river is all muddied and the coves are muddied up at the back and at the mouth but not so much in the middle. Then… as I continue to scroll down I get to the Liton Public Use area and Wa'La'….Lake cleared up and there's leaves on the trees!  But from winter to spring… water level on the satellite images shows pretty much the same – although under normal conditions I'd suspect a much lower lake in the winter!
