yeah 26,000 cfs makes timid ledge bite ,30,000 cfs makes one decent,on barkley 18,000 cfs, where it naoors down like at the t79 bridge one can tell its about 1 1/2 mph when slow, back when the flood occurred 180 cfs were going thru at one timem, that changed the lake out every for about 3 -5 days at that time.
Over on barkley when the water is low park by the island near bumpis mills ,where it comes out on the back side resembles a trout stream with riffles.
Lake fools many people it does have a lot of current and mush of it just beneath the surface not on top always.
Toss a bobber in at upper end of bridge its a short drift till you toss again.
Test of boat and troller get in under the 79 bridge when 36 -42cfs and 55 mph wind in gusts 40- 45 steady, and go forward on troller only,my alley can with a 70 pds thrust, jag went slowly backwards.,with same troller.Boat will resemble the mechanical bull ride while doing it.
So while current boat is capable it tires one quickly, and sooneror later one would get bucked.
Your going up and down in five ft rollers, just dont look like
Look at this pic at times less was showing than in pic,one sees no whitecaps at all try running on it and spear comes to mind.
