Ps on Barkley once you pass an island at the other side where water comes around it will look like a trout stream shallow ,rocky, about two miles above that on the left is a creek with a tree laydon in the mouth(or was) ledge from creek mouth to 1oo yards north and it forms a minor hump,4 lbers inhabit it normally, paca craw no jig-green pumpkin, place boat about 50 ft out from the bank, slowlu going out as you go down the bank being 100 ft out by the time your 100 yards away, you will just about be on the break all along it or just outside it.

Yeah I was sitting here looking at the 10 day forecast and saw 7-8 days with foercast pretty much identical. Then check the calendar…. yup… late sept. ain't no way the weather is gonna hang consistent for weeks at a time.
Acutally I'm down to a wake-up. Will be pulling out between 2-3am in the morning – sooner if I can't get to sleep. Gonna do a bunch of riding around Wed/Thur. looking at some spots I have marked on barkley. Didn't spend a lot of time on planning for KYL figure I'll figure it out when I get there. Would really like to find something reliable closer than 179 but if I can't… I'll make the run. I'm still thinkin' dock patterns 1/2 to all the way back in the coves — by the time I get there… and can fish.
All the maps vary with travel time but the average seems to be just a tad under 13 hours. I'll be meanderin' my way down there and stopping to eat so I'm not sure what time I'll be pullin' in. Best guess is 5-6 tomorrow afternoon. Could be a hour or so earlier… or could be an hour or so later… or it could be 5:30pm… Or it could be…..

I'm thinking you guys are right. The weather is going to play a huge factor in this tournament and if conditions change between practice and game day, it could be anyone's…

Actually had thought about making a post along close lines, but didnt want to dampen anyones spiirits.
Generally a few days in a row and it changes a front etc, then a bad day after then back to slowly getting better,we are due for one as its ben going all around us ,it did rain a small amount down around camden and 179,and farther up 140 near nashville.
A common pattern would be for the second day for it to hit the fan so to speak, with prior to the front them busting good for a few min,a very hard run back then a tuff bite on the third with sun and blluebirds.
Weactually need the rain to cool it off and make a small amount of current if light would improve the fishing, other day when at paris landing ,it got cloudy and sprinkled and they turned on.
Unforunately even those light rains this time of year bring 15 mph wind, nothing anywhere else but here 2 fters in as its several directions hitting each other, often cancelling each other out when right at the boat.Leaving it 2 ft in the air with no wa wa underneath.
Im guessing your ride should do well in it,length is a lot of it and hull.
Almost all of the good bite is south, other side of rr bridge to beyond.
What 4 and a wakeup

Still checking the 10 day forecast. It still says consistent/stable weather going into the first day, Wednesday, of the Nationals. Here's what I bet.
I bet we'll get up there. Fish 3 practice days under sunny skies with light to moderate winds. Then on the first tournament day and continuing for the duration of the tournament the weather will shift to cloudy/rainy with winds 10-20mph out of the north. This weather change will effectively nullify everything learned in practice. The fish will move and most every one will be back to block one square one in establishing a pattern come tournament morning….. Wanna bet?
