Well, now that's the kind of information I was looking for.  Thanks!

Now, is there anything you'd change about your rod choices?

I dont use a different rod to toss lipless versus lipped crankbaits, med or med heavy moderate slow action tip

crig med hvy moderate action tip

fast tip or moderate fast tip for topwater and med mostly

fluke same moderate fast tip and a med heavy

and the length of the rod also plays a role the longer the more limber generally

thus a 6 ft med in a moderate action can be the equal of a med heavy 7 ft 3 in moderate action

and what suitable for 6fter to toss  from texas isnt for a 5ft

Ok, I see the list, but what power and action are each of the rods???

For many, the rod they use for crankbaiting is different than what they use for Texas-Rigging.  And what gets used for frogging is totally different than the first two.

So if you've got those different rods, what power and action are they?

Awww hell I dunno.

Flipping stick is a broom stick Heavy and heavy

C'rig is moderate fast heavy

lipless crankbaits and fluke rods are extra fast -moderate

Crankbait rod 7' 6″ is a 9.99 Academy special – I can tie in a knott hard to cast though.

Other crankbait rod is the o'l David Fritts Browing model

One jig rod is medium fast – medium

Other jig rod is extra fast medium heavy

Spook rod is custom made spinning rod extra fast – medium heavy

Pop'R rod is fast – medium light

That there whut ya' lookin' for????

Ill go one farther its not only action of the rod but tip action as well.

frog rod med  hvy or hvy moderate fast tip, crankbait rod meduim slow action tip

The same action even in same name brand of rods with different tip actions they do different things.

example medium with a medium or med hvy med fast  tip spinnerbaits same medium rod with slower tip crankbaits

using the wrong rod often results in no hookset or a proper one

even topwater there are differences the horney toad wants a faster tip than say a floater due to the hookset immeadiately like a buzzbait and the floater one must wait and sidesweep

I got thinking about all the different rods that I carry whenever I go fishing and it got me thinking.

What rods do you carry for fishing?

Topwater lures

Frogging

Plastic worm fishing

Carolina Rigging

Swimbaits

Jigging (for walleye)

Jigging (for bass)

Spinnerbaiting

Crankbaits

Jerkbaits

I'm not talking brand names of rods, but am more interested in knowing what power and actions everyone carries.
