I get updates from the NRA all the time, warning me of pending potential legislation that might affect the rights of gun owners.

The latest missive I received was about voting on the legislation giving Tenneseans the right to hunt and fish according to the state constitution.  Well, of course Janet and I voted for it when we voted early a couple of days ago.

But also in the message was the fact that the University of Tennessee/Chattanooga received a letter from PETA requesting that UT drop their bass fishing team because it promoted a "blood sport!"

I'm sure if Tennesseans objected to the bass fishing team, it was only because the fish were released after the tournaments, and not filletted and cooked with hushpuppies!
