I dont think I like the prospect of a line that asorbs water,I get wet enough.

But do use a 30 lb braid(evolution) for my rattletrapping comes in handy when a huge drum inhales it.

85 pd gorilla braid for my biggest frogs  and a crig with a 15 pd mono leader, followed by 45 pd power pro, then 30 pd evolution and down the 20 pd powerpro for t rigging, going to the 10 pd soon for finniky fish and a recoil rig.

But dont want a braid that asorbs water I dont think. Just my thoughts.

I know a couple of guys that use it and seem to like it just fine.  Where I used to live (in cold country), absorbing water was considered to be a negative.  There's not much worse than a fresh cold water hand shower on every cast, especially when temperatures are near the freezing mark!

I did try some 30 lb. "WildFire" braided line made by High Seas.  It's a round braid with some kind of super-secret core material and a fused sheath of Spectra fibers.  It is definitely quieter through the rod guides, which is one common complaint of braided lines.

I used it for spinnerbaiting and rattle trap tossing.  Like most braided line, I had great sensitivity, being able to feel the spinner blades turning/the trap wiggling and I got great hooksets.

It's another line to look for when you need to fill a spool.

I don't know how "new" this stuff is but I just stumbled across it.

Reviews that I've read on it seem contradictory in so much as in the same review "…it floats… it absorbs water…" Might give some a try in the near future just to check it out.
