Think maybe bought it a year earlier, now that i think of it twas something involving hydrografix,

http://www.hydrografx.com/store/

they did a side scan of ky lake and barkley available on dvd, they are a small company now after a court battle (rumor),hotspots-hotmaps think that was why

they arnt cheap and a lot of sections, but well defined often showing things no other map does including a sunken small boat

Yeah well maybe if I'd'a been born a year earlier or a year later….

Dear Doug,

The list of fishing lakes available in the Hotmaps Explorer software are listed at: http://www.fugawi.com/web/prod…..e_list.htm (this link is on the back of the package). Kentucky and Barkley lakes are not available in this version.  They were available in the first version which was released in 2008, however, due to the expiry of a license between Navionics and Fishing Hot Spots (the data supplier), we were forced to take them off the list to comply with their license agreement.

Kentucky and Barkely lakes are available in HD format in our NavPlanner2 software which was released earlier this year. Sumboddies wanna tell me how they can have KYL and Barkley on their high dollar nav planner(which I ain't buying) AND on their hotmaps chips but not available for the Explorer???? For details, please visit http://www.fugawi.com/web/prod…..anner2.htm.

Thank you for your email.
Yours truly,
NORTHPORT SYSTEMS INC.

When I ordered it got 1 free download as well and picked ky barkley was all on one download, and those pics ive posted from 79 bridge area and big sandy getting smaller and showing more detail are the hotmaps cd.Yes 10000 lakes but that one download made it well usefull to me,to bad my dogs chewed the cd up and the comp its on isnt working.

When i get a better comp going again will slave that drive in just to get it back.

If its no onger available then its something recent was available as both lakes all in one.

After screwin' around with this worthless pos software I've pretty much come to the conclusion it's just a waste of time and money. With the purchase I got one "free" HD map. Well being as KYL nor Barkley are offered… I chose Sam Rayburn here in Texas. Now… I'm not sure what those DA Ka'nadian's consider High Definition but here in Texas 6' contour lines don't help much. Oh… and I do have Choke Canyon… a blue blob with no contour lines or anything else of any use.

Ever have a year when things seemed to work against ya'???? I'm havin' one.

I just received my hotmaps lake explorer DVD…. Great…. I can set way points n' routes n' print maps n' such…. Get it installed… well yeah… first thing I do is load the Barkley map… Rephrase that – first thing I tried to do was load the barkley map - it doesn't appear to be on the DVD – KRAP. OK… load Kentucky Lake instead – and it's not there either. What the hell is up with this???? 10,000 friggin' lakes(supposedly) on this DVD and the first two I try to load are not on the dvd???? Soooo call the Fugawi… Well that's a joke…. they don't take calls even though they have a "customer support" number on line. Recorded message sez "Fill out form on line – we'll get back to ya'"…. I hate it when someone or some company has the only game in town and you're forced to use them or do with out.  10,000 figgin' lakes and no KYL or Barkley…. I know… now I'll have to spend another 40.00 to get those two lakes and then end up with worthless maps that show little/no detail…

I'm just tired of gettin' tha' shaft by some of these companies….
