Well having veggie fever i took off rod in hand this afternoon hoping that 4 1/2 ders would be working a tad more today,and hoping to find a way to catch it.

Nope didnt happen as it appeared to be almost on the bank and swam out soon as i walked up.

Tossed a horny toad no takers,then a spro pop-n-frog,some activity occured near me and was bringing the frog back and bam,lil bugger couldnt even take it but swatted it.

Thinking of other things tried a spinnerbait(secret weapon) no takers,fluke no takers,then i happened to tie on one of the few other floating frogs i had with me,a king spro 1 oz.

It has a remarkable retrieve for such a big bait,side to side like a spook and can be twitched so that it reaches around and touches its posterior almost.Water temp cant be more than 55 even in that bay or much over it.

Fish just have to be active or near a bait,toss enough you eventually toss to one such fish.

A good omen the very first fish that actually took a frog down I caught this year.
