Opps he can give you directions ,not fish sorry,or you could follow him,but like I said easy to find launch etc, besides if you cant figgure out that bite on your own ,wouldnt do for a T bite anyway.
And its EASY I can do it 14-15 lbs a day three days running, leaving at 1pm every day leawing back at pl area no later than 2 for nearby holes,if staying longer or not losing the bigger fish 18 pd is quite possible per day day in day out

Providing the alley is running, you can follow me over on barkley, hole 179 is a gimme, you drive there to practice, mark on the gps, launch turn left go under the bridge, stay on plane to the duckblind,ya cant miss it.
Since your staying with steve he would be your best bet for fishing 179 with someone else there, but like said could point to it on a map and you wouldnt miss it.If their was a difference in the bite, what on or type he would know it and alternate accordingly.
I dont run that fast with the alley,if its bumpy have yet to figgure it all out, goes airborne easier than the jag yet will run slower in rough stuff qute well.,so you wont have trouble keeping up with me and a 27 p fishin prop.

Can't wait to get there n' stick me some – that's a fack jack!

I know from reading the rules for the national's y'all can't be in the boat during the practice days. But thus far ain't read a thing that says I can't follow someone around – fuel/oil/expences paid… of course. BUT… For AOY if y'all wanna sign up as observers then…. I'm pretty sure you can ride with me on Barkely when I practice for the AOY event.

I'm gonna try to hang around a few days after Nationals so you n' me n' Steve can spend some time on the lake fishing fer braggin' rights! Heck, I'll even let y'all drive a real boat! Hahahahaah!!!! If it's still in one piece that is.

Yes ledges are producing, still currently the best or top pound bite if you know the how to,no doug sorry the type of place where they are schooling at is under 3 ft deep, they pick a shallow ridge line or point or even a shallow area bwteeen two islands and herd the baitfish up on it ,use it like   wall, with a great deal of the action occurring in about 1-11/2 ft of water,a lil george is a tad to heavy, same with any lipless trap just not enough wa wa.Its the same in the fall when they chase them lil georges spoons etc are useless.
I do have a floater rattletrap without a bill I could use but generally avoid the trebles,as they like roots all to well.
That ledge bite will soon however die,and since ive never figgured it out or paid anyone 275 to go try it sticking shallow as all get out,and gonna enjoy beating the socks off ofem in a short time.
Besides I enjoy fooling many when i say main lake, schoolers and they think lipless and lil georges and spoons-I aint a fishin no ledge-most of the time if I fall out not getting over my waist wet,and thats if I slide in sideways.
Doug holes 3 and 7 nearby are 1 1/2 ft deep in first of oct,and we catch fish on them ,two of the best holes, across from 3 is another point same way, even less depth, the only deeper hole is 4 which now is at 22 ft then 18,and 4 is good from now to the first of nov and then they diaapear ,occasional good smallie on a lil george then. But the main lake ones on those points were abesnt when steve and I last fished, they are hoppin now though.

Top baits of choice are fluke and a rubber swimbait.

Ya' might try dropping a little george or dead stickin' a rat-l-trap through the schoolers… Bigger'uns are usually lurking just below pickin' off the easy stuff.

Yep, the bigger ones are either in WAY shallow or out deep on the ledges.  I filmed/fished with Dave Stewart again today and we found some nice keepers out in 14 – 25 feet of water…Surprised
