A friend from W.Va,Marlin Oldacker came visiting,he generally comes at least once a year if not twice.

His timing could have been better just had a cold front roll thru,prior they had been busting and hitting buzzbaits and topwater plugs,those that walk being better than say just a popper.

But last two days nada,fish came in on rubber and chrome and blue ratletraps,the lazereye in same color not working????

One or two each day on a spinnerbait but no large fish at all like previous week,wind blew fairly well and was difficult to stay in place.

I had taken the motor toter out ,a boat I had bought for the yamaha motor to place on my allison, but with company coming in ran it on the vl 270 hydrosport,front end does catch wind.

So unfamiliar boat,to say the least,we trolled around various bays caught small bass,and yellow perch along with a bream and a shell cracker or two(spinnerbaits),and basically had a nice time,even though the 5 lbers eluded us,we did see one boil containing those but gone by the time we could toss in.

Motor started fairly fast in the morning ,4 1/2 hrs later touched the key as was running in a heartbeat,3mph at idle.
