Yeah also was looking at a yammer 115 but farther away, sometimes things just dont work out the more I read about such as dependability and looked at pics the more it didnt resemble original mfg specs having a second captivation plate part way up the mid, where does not show clearly in the pic, downloaded them all and after a repaint they showed, also very small pic I had to blow up.Owner thinks she has a 25 in long shaft, after i actually asked was depending upon mfg specs and its a 25 xl or extra long shaft now,not a 20 in 1x,nor is it a 1990 model its an 88.

XL 125 force motors commonly sell for 900-1000 dollars, the 1x if actual 20 in and not altered by some bayliner owner brings a tad more.Back then parts were available back then not nowdays would cost more than the motor does if one found them to change back.

Your right maybe a 40 hp 93 model would be ok on a tracker,or toon boat if xL,but even then not the best choice,as merc took them over and used overstock lower parts on them whatever was handy, having 44 different lowers or adaptions thereof.

Some people learn the hard way, been harder had I actually bought it.

Trust me, you're better off not getting the Force outboard.  They might be fine for the casual fisherman, or a pleasure boater that gets out a couple times a year, but for anyone that wants any kind of reliability and any semblance of performance, it's not the outboard to buy.

Save your money and get a Merc, Evinrude, or Yamaha…

Screwup, that force didnt have stats on the webpage, numbers from mastertec showed it as being an 88 1x or longshaft=20 in.Seller had it listed as a 90 model.

When they make a 15 its short,20=long and 25 xl extra long, people however tend to say another yeah its a long shaft after downloading pics blowing up and viewing it was mfg a longshaft somelonelater added some its 25 in.

Added to this confusion force and merc made 44 different versions of shafts.

No not completeing the deal some guy with a cabin cruiser can or deep bayliner,be out some deposit thats all better that than a bunch, they will have to relist.
