There are things that are needed in boats.  I probably carry more than I need to, but besides my tackle, I carry;

  • small tool kit
  • spare trolling motor prop, nut and a couple shear pins
  • 50' 3/8″ rope with heavy duty snap on one end
  • 12' docking rope (2)
  • removeable rod holders (2)
  • fire extinguisher
  • spare pliers (in glove box)
  • small hemostat (in glove box)
  • 32 lb. Richter anchor w/100' rope
  • 20 lb. river anchor w/100' rope
  • several different spare reel spools with line (in glove box)
  • spare boat ignition key (hidden in boat)
  • butane lighter (in glove box)
  • sunscreen (in glove box)
  • spare coffee mug
  • spare rain gear
  • inflateable PFD (2)
  • throwable floatation device
  • spare PFD
  • spare windbreaker
  • Boga Grip
  • electronic digital scale
  • small (36″) tape measure (in glove box)
  • plastic prop wrench
  • jumper cables
  • roll of electrical tape
  • spare fuses
  • small first aid kit
  • spare spinning reel
  • spare baitcast reel

Without actually digging through my compartments, I believe that's about all the stuff I carry.  Like I said, I probably carry too much, but I'm curious what others keep in their boats.
