Heck id chuck the gator aid and lose all that extra weight.

Do all speed tests downhill with current and wind to make it all look likke a better setup.

Not to much differnt than mfg comparing eveything to a 4 stroke that weighs more never another two stroke in same catagory.Or on the same boat, with same setup.

Couple of extra ruber bands for tweaking might tbe in order.

Naw justthoughttwas odd  some of the motors on comes upon, yet the laser looked neat.

The F1 is a small bomb,,with driver related timer.

OK… I'm thinkin' bicycle chain(s), 2 sets of pedals(one for passenger), heck even twin props. Hell…. get the 18 speed gearing and shifter… I'd guess 60mph in 12th gear w/two pedalin'! Weight will be under 20#s! A bit of riggin' but 3-400 mile range based on 4 sandwiches, bag of chips ann'a 12oz. gatorade!

Looking for info and surfing the web have lil else to do it seems, have run across some rather odd merc motors, none of which Ive seen first hand the first an F1 which is a 290 running at 9200 rpm, figgure thats a ful race blown and unusual even in that circuit, and the merc laser both in a 200 hp and in a 175 hp,for its time lloks like it had a nice lower on it.

But upon researching can find no stats at all weight or otherwise.

Looking for 400 lbs or less, weight wise or close no 505 monsters, the most hp for the weight if at all possible.I dont understand how a motor of a given hp was less weight 20 years ago,in most cases including etec. The 115 weighing as much as my 200 gt almost,92 to 98 motors are 390 to 428 in omc, with a 90 model old xlow 115 (think its just a 140 rnamed as at prop not powerhead) at a measly 315,get one of those to put out a few higher hp and boy hang on.

I like etec yet like the stats of one motor better and only in one hp rating and thats a 200 xs that is under 400 by a fair margin at that.

Etec has stats but most boats its gien on noone around here would have other than a stratos 18.5 ft at 56 mph-115ho-1450 lbs roughly

Noone gives stats on say like a 17 fter bassboat rated for a 115 like a bee,who cares how fast it moves a looney toon or center console other than owners of those and they arnt into how fast anyway.
