As for driving the alley, other than not being used to what operates what, its a breeze with less hp,not near as a hair trigger.

No wonder its recommended hp is 90 to 150,alley owners normally scoff at less hp,it does actually handle much better.less weight high up and less tendancy to break it loose.

Kind of like a 17fter that can take a lil better waves,ad run a lil better than most.

Fish are somewhat confused water very low,no current, temp is dropping but slowly and next few days will put a stop to that getting warmer each day.

Small amount of grass in same cove as fat daddys on the left just opposite, when its tuff normally the senko steve uses is as good as a sliderhead 1/4 right now the sliderhead is better with redbug 6 in worm.Horney toads im still getting bit on by rocks near the bank (rocky points) shorts on them, but they wont hit a buzzbait yet will it.Blade bait if on breaks like a silver buddy, strike king series 6 (normally its a bandit 100 by now) fat cb cranks for schoolers.

Most of those practicing today arnt on fish, know one guy that did get 4 keepers.

Hes a local was slightly north but not far.Maybe someone will park the boat over a bunch for ya.

being as we're not on fish… I'm going as a non-boater. Pulled a guy with a 250 stratos that seems like a pretty nice guy. He's catching fish just no keepers but still better'n what me n' Steve been hookin'.

I doubt there's any recourse or recovery  on the repairs but will call the guy that fixed it when I get back home. I'm either going to strip it and sell it or… I may pull the top cap myself, rip out the innerliner and foam and do the repairs myself.

I really appreciate to offer but wouldn't feel comfortable driving the ally in a tournament without some seat time prior. Maybe I'll pull some boaters that are on fish and win from the back seat! All things are possible great and small…. dont'cha' know!

Ouch that repair didnt exactly hold up,you could allways switch out the start battery on mine and go with the antique look.It does have 100/300 insurance for the other guy.Since no psi hooked up you just have to resist raisng it,other than popup or trailering. Will run around 60 full load as is.

Is there any of that repair thats covered? And is it worth gouing thru the bs?

no problems with compressor. backflused the engine. cleaned out the tale-tale and all was fine. But…. hit some cruiser wakes today that launched the Gambler…. when it was all said and done the top cap at the transom has a heavy crack running all the way across the back. It got a little worse as the day wore on. It's still driveable but risky such that I'm not going to use it in the nationals so I'll be going as a non-boater again this year. When we trailered out I had Steve bounce the lower unit. The whole top cap at the transom is flexing pretty bad – tiz' a mess.

Compressor problems with alarms going off?

As for 179 its lower than normal but even so only from about 100 yards above the duck blind straight up and only getting there by the right hand bank then over with the troller, anything else one needs a flat bottom with a mud buddy.

Bet the guy that laughed was loading stuff out on the dock.Hes the owner and seemed to be taking pleasure about those falling off the ramp.Telling them about the dock side being usable only after ward.

Ps saw a pontoon boat back there.

Grass-Horney toad, flukes, senkos, spinnerbaits, shallow cranks if open water. about that order

If on a shell mound a blade bait like a silver buddy.

Jigs you will get one quality fish seldom others this time of year ,worming maybe three, schoolers are best bet if closer but those grass fish do bite and bite horney toads

Have also used them recently over shallow rocky points they hit them there as well when they wont a buzzbait. Most if not all were short but closeby.

Cold mornings mon and tues wed thru fri getting warmer each day.

Good luck
