Yeah, it's hard to say exactly what caused the problem, but it makes me wonder just how thoroughly he went through the motor after the incident!

He did a compression check took it apart from the mid not the heads,he is aware im not a happy camper,it was a gaskit leak that caused it as water jacket all around the heads.
The rest is history, not much I can do about it in the past tense. As a result getting a lot of work done for free, wont say what or by whom as wont do anyone a disservice, unless really deserved.
As to the amount of water actually in it not a lot, most came from the fuel tank after that dunk.
Hard to know if it would have happened anyway, maybe prior owner knew a cyl was slowly going or getting ready to as to why they sold it,my understanding is they bought another fast boat to drag with.Possibly they got tired of not doing it and the monkey just bit again, like it bit me,just wish the darn thing would let go.
Life if their were no uphill climbs we wouldnt appreciate the downhill ones,it just takes a very long time for an old man to climb everest (north face)

Gee, ya think???? I know the boat was underwater for a short while, but for this to happen, I'd be P.O'd to the max….
Yeah, I'd be asking the mechanic a LOT of questions…..

I feel like shouting, had just paid 400 to have it all gone thru, first trip out it ran fine but coughed and died upon coming off plane, figgured was out of gas.Next trips couldnt hardly get up on plane,so figgure it happened when it coughed and died.
So going to be some questions asked as the take apart was to prevent this.

Damn Lil Mule, I feel like singing, "If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all, Gloom, Dispair and Agony on ME!"
Well, hopefully that guy is buying the Jag, then you might have the $$$ to rebuild the motor…

Bad news and good news, good news is I didnt get more bad news.
Motor lacked torque getting up on plane with two people and a full livewell.
Bad news is blew number six cyl, compresion test revealed 85 pds on number six ,top number 1 was 145,number 2 125 number three 120,others 4 and 5 125 and 120 respectively but also blown gaskits on both heads so compression should be close once 6 is put back in order new gaskits and one complete piston, most likly new rings on all.
Good news is while it blew a chunk out of the piston it went right out thru exaust no scoring whatsoever.
Compression of number 1 surprised me expected 125 all around but must have had the heads shaved a tad.Bad news is always$,good news is could have cost more $,but isnt it a shame that the good news isnt exactly cheerfull.
