LOL, it's pretty sad when there's been so much lying that the guy can't remember what he did and didn't say anymore!
Yeah, I'd be worried about the quality of the repair and would be looking at selling the boat ASAP!

Did you tell the dealer that your boat should have "looked real good" about seven months ago?
I mean, first it can be fixed, then it can't. Then, miraculously it CAN be fixed!!!
I hate to bring up negatives, but I wonder about the quality of the repair?
Yeah… I wonder as well…. I was told they were puttin' in new stringers(again)… then I was sent a photo of stringers installed in Jan. the digital date on the photo was Aug…. first time is was repaired… Questioned the shop owner about that… and ask.."Where's my new stringers???" He said…. "Never told you we were installing new stringers…" Then on Monday…. and I quote(in part)…. "The inside is done…. looks real good…. all new stringers…" I didn't even broach the subject… Like I said…. this forum doesn't have enough paper for me to document all the BS… so much so that now… appearantly – the shop owner can no longer keep up with his own lines!
Once a butcher… always a butcher… I have no reason to believe the repairs have any quality to them… BUT… I never did take it back because of a structual problem… The bondo inner liner is what sent my boat back to florida… At that point the stringers had held but hey…. that only 3 days……. The stringers that were cut…. were butt spliced with no over-lapping bracing… just gobs of matt n' resin…. Looked like a 3rd grader did it…. Wait…. if anyone reading this has a 3 grader I did not mean to insult your childs inteligence or skill level… Ok…. it was on the level of a retarted 3rd grader!

Wellll…. talked to the shop owner on Monday. Said my boat will be ready at the end of the month. "Said" it looks real good. I wish I had the time and desire to dictate all that lyin' SOB has told me in the 7 months he's had my boat. For now my plans are to keep my boat for awhile, a year or so, and see how it goes. Then…. I'll probably look at sellin'/buying.
In March I posted a contest on when I'd get my boat back. "IF" I actually get it back in June that'd make me the contest winner. In March I was told "…about a month…" I applied Florida fuzzy BS logic and came up with a delivery date sometime in June…. Of course June still ain't here and neither is my boat…. We'll see…

Has your boat situation improved or still looking for another ride
92 model 21 xtb available-allison side console model-200 marinersuper mag-6k
lil faded but nice boat the gelcoat on an allison is quite deep and would come back out if buffed a bit.
People are already all over it so wont last long as priced low to sell, last 90 model without an engine brought that.
The xtb is quite unlike my 2002 has a lot more storage and still runs almost as fast.

The strange part is…. In 20 years of boating I have never… ever… had to replace a prop shaft seal. And now in short order I'm doing it twice… But…. I don't mess around… oh no… not me. I don't mess up anything with a single prop shaft seal.. I go straight for the one that has two of'em – that Mercury is reeeeeal proud of!

Ok… It's last Sunday some time after 12 noon. I've got 15+ in the boat n' I'm looking for more. Haven't had a c'rig bite in 3 hours sooo… tie on 3/4oz. HotLips Luhr Jensen…. First cast… one of my better backlashes if I do say so myself!!! Set to getting it out…. Takes a tad more'n a second but eventually I get it. Start cranking in…. hung up on back of the boat… Well what the he!!… hung up on the trim tabs???? Go back to investigate…. Say what???? The wind was blownin' pretty stiff and it blew me a couple of 100 yards while I was occupied with the birdsnest… engine was in netural… As I drifted…. prop was spinnin'… wrapping line around the prop shaft…. Tried several minutes to get it off and couldn't. Heck never did find the crank bait either and I never made the first crank of the reel…. Soooo… break it off… Run to another spot then run to weigh in…
2 days ago I notice a drip of oil where no drip of oil should be…. right below the skeg – crap. Pull the prop… the 225XS has two shaft seals one is pushed almost all the way out… I pull it out n' look at it…. looks good so I put thread sealer on the od, grease on the id and resinstall it. The other seal had moved as well but I just knocked in back in to place with drift tool I made from a vacuum cleaner extension tube. Then…. tilt engine down. Floor is spic n' span clean so I keep an eye on it… next day… nudder drip of oil… or two. Da'yum gonna have to change seals – again. Soooo… this evening I pull the plug and… get about 3/4 of a quart of water – pure water… not a hint of oil – none. Used compressed air to blow in top hole… a few splatters of oil show up but that's all….
Wunder how fer I could'a run that jewel using water as a lower unit lubricant??? I'm guessin'… not far! Gotta pick up some seals – gonna get two full sets as I'm headed back to Falcon in about 3 weeks… Also wonder how much damage was done with what little runnin' I did you can bet yur bo'diddlie it was WOT! Just hope it survives Falcon! Hate to get 14 miles up the river or 25 miles down lake to discover the answer!
