LOL, eat all the beans you want, but unless that outboard fires on methane, without a powerhead, you're S.O.L.!!!

If you're "The Weiner," does that make your boat the "WeinerMobile?"
I'm glad you're just about there with getting it back onto the water, and I hope the repairs hold up!
Ahhh Hummmmm….. That'd be "WeinerCraft" But it's no regular WeinerCraft… No Sir! This one is made from 100% Turkey parts n' pieces!

Fired the 225 Pro XS for the first time in almost 9 months. I have some remaining "issues" to resolve. Well actually only one. The fuel gauge isn't working. I have both the SmartCraft and SystemLink(the small analog looking gauges) and neither will pick up the tank level. I had a problem as well with the remote oil tank level but got that sraightend out and it's working fine now. Both the remote oil tank sending unit and the fuel tank sending unit are in the same wiring harness(additional cost and separate from the SmartCraft Speed-o and Tach. That harness plugs into a connector under the engine cowling – it's plugged in or the remote oil tank sending unit wouldn't work. I've pull the tank sending unit(which I think will end up being the culprit) and tested it with an ohm meter. At first it just showed an open circuit. Then… I took it apart and cleand the resistor bands and wipper. Put it back together and I could get readings intermitently. Worked on it some more and readings became more consistent. Put it back in the tank… hooked wires up… nothing. Checked resistance while it was mounted in the tank and I was getting a reading so it appeared to be functioning but still…. nothing on the SmartCraft nor SystemLink gauges. I'm gonna try sticking in a new sending unit, probably tomorrow, and see if that heals it.
Also have 2 last things to do – BUT THEY WOULDN'T KEEP ME OFF THE WATER! Finish caulking the rub rail. 3/4's of the boat had NO caulking at all – zero, zip… nada… nuttin'. Oh… and the last thing…. Clean-up boat!
