Well knew when i bought the alley it had a hopped mota, but it didnt burn me the locall mechanics did,not paying att to what they were doing, that repair would have burned a stock mota up.

As a result will refrain from a hopped mota again aroud here, stock then taken where i trust the work, and only then when needed. After my episodes figgure a lot of the repairs needed or they say are needed are actually caused by them,at least part

As for this 140 if burned not badly, comparitively speaking.

I hope it works out for you. As for the "tired" looking comment…. Just wasn't wanting to see you get burned – again. Long as it lays the Allision over you should be good to go.

You oughta take Steve up on his offer…. Those 10″ hydraulic jackplates ain't light. Put that light 5″ on there and it'll probably actually help get the boat layed over and provide a lower speed bow down capability.

Well the seastar bar wouldnt go through, has a spot where it needs reemed out in the tube, temp used 5/8 all thread ,as a winter project will replace just havnt a bit that long, and the steeriing tab is easier to line up when off I found out.Small clip that goes over the gas linkage to keep it from coming off the peg then run and set accordingly. As a lark pushed  the key hit choke heard it go in ,then turned instant vrrmm.

And doug twas all I had to work with as to why I ended up with it locally would have bought a 15 el tiller, with same money.Bet it will go faster.(Dont think ill be sorry tired looking or not)

For being around a major area where boats are used the dealers ream out evrything, should be cheaper here, nationally an xflow is about 900-1000 here they want 1800 as is where is,and most likly they know they borrowed parts off it.

One guy gets 1000 for a lower unit -used try telling them new they are about 800 for the copy made in fla they say no way.Same guy pays 3 dollars per hp for a dead one.

As for matching electrical fittings the very same used in 77 fit in my newer wiring plug in connections, yeah OMC.That apparently has stayed the same.

Gong to have to pracrice xing  other motas out,it is an xflow.

Yeah getting close, picked up some more washers to take the space up in the hyd steering ,and some jet fuel,to bring up the oct level as has 87 oct and need 88 min.

Sometime mon will attempt to pick up that lil clip that fits over the gas thinghy to keep it from coming off its lil peg.

Yes jet fuel got a laugh myself its octane booster but in fine print says jet fuel.,then guess ill run it on ears and see how far off I am on adjustments, linkage etc.

Can see me now wind blowing what lil hair is left ,eyes watering ,,helmet secured then past the no wake zone I go.

Put  put,put put, shucks first time out deep with a 24 p raker be lucky if it planes.

Am curious as how thirsty it will be.The 135 I ran years ago surprised me going over 90 miles on a tank-24 gal

I sold the manual 4 in jp placed it on scream n fly lasted two days, now residing on another alley( river racer) over at Frankfort Ky.Now shortest they make is 5 in.Should it prove to be a problem can always remove and place another manual on it.

Plan on using it more or less fixed anyway,as wont be able to raise it to the pad unless i put a low water nose cone on it.That would ony happen if it ran real good and a winter project, but doubt it as keeping it simple and cheap.

50-60 is a decent goal, anything else is a freebie, and thats fast enough to fish local with and beats a 15 hp I could have gotten here for the almost the same money.

I put my first jp on a 15 ft skeeter was a 10 in rite hite and a 90 hp merc 400 lb tower of power,it helped it.This lil 140 weighs about 100 less.

As for the thing not getting on plane, twas the mota not the prop, suspect by the time it was at the no wake already starting to overheat, found the disconnected overheat wiring plug later as not hooked up as for reason of no horn sounding, along with missing gaskits by the thermostat housings. As for the horn never did find the other end by the control box,so figgure they just neglected to re do it or even mention i,may have even cut it out when they straightened the wiring back up they alone screwed up.

I still owe them 30 bucks for that,if they want to collect can come to my door, doubt seriosly if they would leave in one piece.

Again nothing im going to court over so will refrain from comment other than im miffed, poed never ever sending a motor to be worked on by a factory trained mechanic in one location ever again.

As personally feel hes not qualified to work on my eq.

And if you DID sell the Allison jackplate, remember that I have a 5″ plate on the Triton that I'd be willing to trade, with a custom built flipping stick for a 10″ Bob's….  :)

I've got to wonder if'n Doug isn't correct.  I remember the day we took the Ally out when it blew.  I realize that the prop wasn't correct, but I also remember climbing up on the front deck to get the boat on plane.

I wouldn't be in too big of a hurry to sell that Allison jackplate….

Not exactly recouped funds cheap,as all that cnc work cant be used elsewhere, meanwhile found two loose wires think they belong to the Queller drive.

And just plain old taking  time, with other stuff sold to cover costs.27P shooter,4 in allison manual jackplate, rude awakining.

Still have the 27 p tro 4 but also have the hub now to make it 13 p(still for sale bit to large I think),and a 28 P chopper as a lark put the hub on wont clear the stabilizer bar, barely touches, would have made a neat photo.

Temerature sensor is a must for later and a gauge as no way to get a good psi reading off the thing and no real pea indicator two back exhaust relief holes that water comes out of not exactly in a pea stream.Steering tube bar to ream more then split the tank with 91 oct bringing oct level up and weakening the double oil.

Bring the fuel rods up then off she goes for trial run.

Meanwhile taking my good ol time and giving them time to evacuate  west. Tn.

Gang way here he comes, run run while ya can.

Ps having a yard sale at time of aba members arriving fishin stuff as well, rods 20 bucks reels 20,spinnerbaits $1,talking fish (without batteries) my junk your treasure.
