It has some drilled in it,hoses cover several up in the pic,and small splashwell any wave of any size would have filled it and gone over anyway. Also open at each side.

Have to run it to see how troublesome that problem might be.

Looking at it again, you might have to drill some large holes in that plate, otherwise you might have water splashing up onto the back deck.

I was worried not having the finished product that would look jacky looking, but all in all doesnt look bad at all, with a low tube or ski attachment will look like made to tow tubers with.

That should work!  It looks like it'll strengthen the transom and doesn't add a lot of weight.  Good for you, now you have a boat to fish with again!

PS while it has some light and dark spots, for a 26 year old boat and a 23 year old motor it dont look bad.

So any possible advantage your new boat might have had will be offset as soon as I put my fat butt in your boat?

Uh took the lil bugger over to the machine shop they will work in it when they have some time available, and going with just a diamond plate from transom to rear of spashell on top like the ski tow bars plate, wont go entirely to each side and have a few holes in it as well for drainage, with that small of a splashwell any wave would wash over anyway, and very hard to build such  small box,

I can keep an eye on those repairs and can hide easily with 1/4 cove base in the corners something like a pool table pocket, easily removed if one needed to check or do another repair.

Be a bit yet as they are buzy.

Well, as soon as you get that tub built for the splashwell, I'd have to say you'll be fishing from a Hydrosport!  The repairs look like they're coming along pretty well!  Cool

Appears to have taken hadnt done that small spot on top thinking gel coat would cover but possibly diamond playe might be in the way so went ahead and did it intend to gel coat it as flat surface would show. But heres the two corners no cleanup done as yet.

One coat left side

Two coats right side

Know now to feather it out only as edge of mat will build it up on the backstroke

Did my first today, did the two corners of the lil hydrosport.

Dont have a clue if I used right amount of harner, you get 1/4 oz of it and 2.5 of reisin.

Be trial and error may end up taking it off dunno, but not hard to apply brush on and one thickness of mat disapears entirely, put two on in the cracked corner and does show there but not bad, besides plan to cover that.

Trick is to put it on fairly quickly then leave be ,if one attempts to correct and semi dry Mistake.

Have great  deal of the stuff left so mistakes can be corrected,if need be want it to adhere not much else since covering.Cost was 27 dollars, also have a gel coat kit for 24 bucks.

No didnt take pics not cured as yet, covered as getting ready to rain, but from the looks one could do work on top and would not show with 1 coat and 1 layer at all as gel coat color shows thru.

Tune in later for results if or and etc.
