Steve… I've got a 24v MG that has precious few hours on it. Heck the paint ain't even scractches up on the motor 'cept where I installed the transducer. You can have it if you want to pick up shipping on it. Here's why…

Long story short… I rammed the trailer with it when trying to trailer the day my old engine bit the dust. I fished and won an ABA tournament with it the next day using that trolling motor only. It did knock the cup bearings out of it. I got the new style cup bearings and while attempting to install them myself I broke the gear that turns the shaft trying to get it off. It also broke/damaged the mount locking point but I fixed that just fine. It came with the boat but I didn't ever really like the trolling motor so I bought another one. Here's why…

It's a 70# 5 speed MotorGuide w/42″ shaft. It worked fine luggin' my o'l heavy Gambler around and I seldom wanted for more power but there were times it was at it's limits. It has push/pull steering vs the newer pull-pull steering(which I love). I bought the cup bearings and have them around here somewhere but the gear would have to be replaced and the unit put back together. All that said… Wouldn't hurt my feelings none a'tall if you said "Nah, don't want it – even for free."

I have a 36 volt trolling motor and it evidently puked and nothing's bringing it back.  The control board is shot evidently and I'm looking at having to replace it.  Does anyone have a 24 or 36 volt trolling motor that they want to get rid of?
