Two trips to the boat repair place as needed to pull one stator and replace with another or so they said,turns out flyweel key had broken,and was merely out of timing,but since had the new stator(bought last year)with nice thick magnets still put it on,along with some proper missing wire fittings to coil,proper omc connectors used,fires up in a hearbeat,may have to toy a bit with the idle,as its like got a new tiger in the tank working.

Apparently all omc that share the same cdi ignition also share the same stator,and those with 35 amp are hot motors in comparison.
