I think a lot of that is related to the water fluctation, they dropped it over 2 ft in 2 days,it makes them pull back a tad and the bite often is with a shakeyhead.

Since they started dropping it no topwater bite at all,and their was a week ago with less actual temp.

Spinnerbait bite went with it,as well as the DBBB,and if they wont hit a DBBB they are off the bite so to speak.Had a few taps where they barely swated at it,one landed on a small bass assasin, from the bank today, nice bluegill chunk it twas.(no camera with me or id show you a 1 lb bluegill.)

I tried throwing a frog today and couldn't buy a bite.  Everything we caught today came subsurface and fished slow.

We caught probably 15 bass up to about two pounds but everything came on a wacky rig, a fluke and a couple came on a jig.

Why frogs work here on Ky lake, even prior to acutal grass topping, alternate veggies, buckbrush, cattails, pads.

No secret either as to why black or dark green work, leopard frogs, tree frogs and bull frogs, when wet all look even darker.
