That 7 ft 2 in flippin stick is almost a decent king spro tosser as well, tad more bend not much and it would be excellant for it,may try it anyway, could be wrong.Seems to have a fairly fast tip,and all kinds of backbone. 2oz capacity so the 1 7/8 devastator will fly with it.

Yeah, I've got some rods here that you can take a look at. I think one will work especially well for you. Give me a call when you can come on over.

Light enough to toss these smaller swimbaits Depps buzzjet(have yet to catch anything on it),and a strike king, the megabait charlie being of about same size, and devastator that weighs an oz more. The depps and the strike king

Ok no need to twist me arm, ouch how about something you thought was a tad light for musky.
Bait caster, something I can two armed toss, kind of like lobbing a mortor shell, concussion is supposed to makem float to the top when it hits.(joke)
You know me I toss some large stuff, worms 12-14in,king frogs supermagnum flukes, have a strike king swimbait rather large and a buzzjet, adding some jackall, and definately want to try more of the soft type like the money, didnt do much good on it last year but maybe its a learning process.

Cripes Lil Mule, if you want to try a rod, I've got some heavy duty rods in the Man Cave or the garage you can try. Some of them are pretty stiff and will work great for swim baits.

Tackletour does not sell stuff – they only review it then tell you where you can purchase it. Normally they direct you to tacklewarehouse, hi's or extreme.
Yup, a flipping stick will probably work.
"A brief answer based on those reviews indicate: 7'10″-8'0, heavy action and a taper a bit slower than a flipping stick – moderate-fast"
But.. with those specifications those guys are chunkin' some serious swim baits.

Was looking more for length and blank action and tip action, than where to go buy one.
Would think a heavy flipping stick would suffice.

If you go to tackletour.com and search the review archives you'll find the answer you're looking for. They conducted a swimbait rod war in '08 – I think it was. A brief answer based on those reviews indicate: 7'10″-8'0, heavy action and a taper a bit slower then a flipping stick – moderate-fast.
Good luck on your lunker quest!

What kind of rod would one need to toss 6 in swimbaits weighing 1 1/2 oz
Something resonable(flippin stick)?
Wanna go lunker hunting.
